Sustainability
Regency Leasehold seek to ensure that consideration is given to the four principles for sustainability summarised by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) as follows:
-
Protection of the environment.
-
Promotion of access to services for the benefit of all.
-
Prudent use of scarce resources.
-
Production of a healthy local economy, including high levels of employment.
Examples may include:
-
Protecting the environment by maximising the use of resources and minimising waste. We strive to ensure that each building that we manage has efficient and effective recycling provisions and that any site staff are conscious of the savings that can be made if resources are recycled.
-
Protecting the environment by ensuring that, wherever possible, environmentally friendly products are used both day to day tasks and more major projects.
-
Formulating policies for using energy efficiently.
-
Promoting the recruitment of staff from the local community, the use of local contractors and promoting the use of local trade.
We believe the promotion of sustainability to be a matter for ongoing review and we endeavour to keep our clients and associates up to date, through circulation bulletins and guidance documents, on the latest techniques and good practices for maintaining a sustainable environment.
